Keeping accessories that can easily get lost on a keyring is a godsend for anyone who tends to lost track of their stuff. My keyring obsession began with carabiners. I got sick of losing hair bobbles while camping, so I started to keep them on a carabiner, and have been using them ever since. You can buy them in different colours for easy recognition.

Setting up
First, you need a base. I like using easy-open rings to attach accessories to keyrings – particularly items that weren’t designed to be attached to them (although, in my opinion, everything should be designed to be attached to a keyring). These are super simple to open. I did experiment with “lobster clasps” but found them way too fiddly. I also have a retractable keyring. This is so the accessories that go on it can be used without having to remove them from the keyring.
At home, I use a large hoop with rings. I find it great for doing jobs around the house. I can attach whatever I need as it’s very easy to open. There’s nothing stopping you keeping it in your bag though.

Adding to your keyring
Now comes the fun part. I find it fun, at least. You get to choose handy accessories to attach to your keyring, and make life easier. Here are a few things on mine:
A keychain multi-tool like this one. It's a great gadget to pull out in a pinch – removing the hassle of having to pull out the tool box for smaller jobs.
Portable charger. These are a godsend for anyone who regularly forgets to charge their devices. There are lots of options so shop around.
Tile tracker to locate my keyring when it gets lost. I have the stickers too and they save me about an hour a day.
Loop thought of everything when they designed these earplugs, which come in a compact box, which can be hung from a keyring.
Health and beauty
This 'Protect your pout' lip conditioner from Louise comes on a lobster clasp. If you don't find them too fiddly like me, this is a great solution for carrying around lip care.
Stationery, DIY and food
For stationery lovers, these Sharpie Keyring Markers are perfect. What better give is there to always having a pen to hand?
