Why Wordsted?

In 2016 my business underwent a rebrand.  I wanted to capture the different strands of work I was doing as I was taking on more writing and editing projects.

I also wanted a name that better reflected the different services I provide as well as my personality and interests. In 2016 my business underwent a rebrand.  I wanted to capture the different strands of work I was doing as I was taking on more writing and editing projects. The logo, designed by local marketing agency Xpand represents either the pages of a book, quotation marks, speech bubbles or the French Tricolore flag, depending on my mood!

A name rooted in history

The name is a play on words. "Worsted", a high-quality smooth fabric created from longer, straightened and, combed wool fibres. In the 19th century Bradford became the worsted capital of the world and this luxury item was produced in vast quantities by workers at Titus Salt's mill in SaltaireTitus Salt's mill in Saltaire.

I have a passion for history and I wanted to celebrate the heritage of Bradford and its workers. The name seemed fitting: I use words to weave high quality material for my clients.!
